I have a 99 and mine was doing the same thing, sporadically. It is the alternator, I just replaced mine and it is much better now. Mine still ran at 0 volts, but I doubt it would run for very long.
X2 on saving for the selectable. I have noticed many times on trails that it performs better with it unlocked, mainly because you lose all steering when it's locked.
I have a Hidden hybrid for my M&P 40c. It's convertible from IWB to OWB. Very comfortable. A lot depends on where/how you plan to carry it I think. This wouldn't work for appendix carry.
I took a small hose clamp and clamped it on the outside of the tube, then tapped on the screw head of the clamp. Worked great!
Wait, that was on the trans tube. Can't remember what the engine oil tube looks like.
I've been running 34 LTB's for 3-4 years now and only blew apart one shaft when I was WOT on a snowy,icy hill climb and it caught traction on a ledge under the snow. I have stock shafts with a full case locker (ARB) and a homemade truss.
