    funny noise

Same noise happened with my 96 tonight! Just got home late and parked it. Happened from a dead stop. I just pulled a light utility trailer about 60 miles, the jeep did it easy enough, but it had to work a little. I was on the highway doing 65+ mph so it was downshifting to hold speed up hills...

    Another Tcase question

Noone familiar with the difference in a NP242 and an NV242? Just wondering how big of an issue the differences in the case will be concerning the rear driveshaft.

    Another Tcase question

I need a new Tcase in my 89 XJ. It has an NP242, I found a 242 out of a 97 Grand Cherokee. I have heard that the output shafts are different lengths. Will this t case work or should I pass and find the earlier 242? I tried asking this on Jeepforum but noone seemed to know what I was talking...

    Wanted:242 T case

It is an '89. I looked at the specs thread on jeepforum, thats how I found it was a 242, and because of the shift pattern. I have only had the jeep for a month or so, I am new to this so I have no idea if any year 242 will bolt up or what.

    Wanted:242 T case

Sounds like the chain in my t case ate a gear yesterday leaving the Badlands. I had planned on driving the jeep when the snow hit and now only 2wd works.lol Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    Hood scoop.

Throw an ls1 intake and fuel rail on it. You can get an ls1 intake for 50 bucks and sometimes free. Throw an ls1 fuel rail on it and nothing else needs changed. Your truck coils will be retained and everything.

    Water In Oil

Mine does the same thing. I thought it was a coolant issue. I notice it does it whenever I drive through alof water or any kind of moist terrain. I think i need a pan gasket. Anyway, I just change the oil whenever it looks milky. Even if it means changing it every few hundred miles. I beat...

Broken bolts and stripped nuts(leaf spring install)

Yeah sounds like a plan. I will most likely just cut a hole in the bottom of the pocket, rip that old nut out, and stick a new one in there.

Broken bolts and stripped nuts(leaf spring install)

Alright guys. Well I have some options now. I appreciate your opinions. I will cut a hole in the pocket tomorrow and get that nut out and go from there. It sounds like there.

Broken bolts and stripped nuts(leaf spring install)

I searched but I wasnt able to find much on this issue. I have an 88 Xj Im putting a 3" RC lift on. The front went pretty smooth but the rear has been a nightmare. Anyway, after getting under the jeep I found that both shackles were rusted through, so the springs were sitting against the...
