    Im not sure of the reason for fluid condition... All I can say is flush it all out. and keep an eye on the condition of it periodically. The broken motor/tranny mount MIGHT cause binding of the levers.

    If its gonna be a DD I would reccomend the Automatic..... I love my 2000. I bought it brand new (only 3 miles). It now has barely 60,000 on it now. I have had no Problems to speak of.. just the usual VEHICLE problems. hoses,belts etc.. ya know....

    I agree ASAP! Flush it with regular ATF, then fill it with Mobil 1 ATF. It could be a bad tranny or engine mount causing binding. I spoil my Jeep! I use only Mobil 1 fluids. even grease. :o) Try some it will like it.

    Some Brands of BPE's are designated only for the Front or Rear.. JKS has 2 different part #'s for front and rear.. Im sure there are others...

    If the shocks are too long IT WILL bottom out! on A BB 2" shocks will be fine as a B.S. My shocks have been my B.S for years now with no problems..... its perfect actually.... personal opinion though.... I say take the BPE's off and try it!
