I have a 90 XJ and want to install a mech water temp gauge due to all my gauge's quit working, I have a short somewhere and cant seem to find it. I see where the stock temp sensor is on the back of the block but the new sensor doesnt look like it will fit. Can someone tell me how to get this...

that looks awsome. My gauge cluster has stopped working, there is a short somewhere keep blowing fuses. I have gotten fed-up looking for it and have been thinking of gonig mechanical. I think I will have to try my hand at doing this.

I pulled out my neighbors stuck work van and his 2wd F150 that he used to try and push the van out.

I just recently pulled mine off took it apart and cleaned it up cause it was acting up, did it on an old xj i had too. Just took my time prying and lightly tapped it back into place

well I replaced the sensor but now all my gauges dont work, started last night on the ride home from work(replaced sensor today). Found that its the fuse but havent had time to track down the short.

Oh I know that wasnt the universal cure. Knew i was a bit low, I stopped to price sensors and pumps to get an idea of what i could be in for. And yes I know its a noob/DA question but I like to have someone else input before I go spending money that I really dont have.
