Umm.. no offense.. but they've been using plywood for phenolic spacers since the beginning of time.. usually the exterior of the wood is coated in a heat resistant coating.. but ya.. plywood will work great.. and your throttle body will run a ton cooler..

what'd ya use for the steering..
and did you make those spring perches yourself.. or cut them off another axle?
also.. what did ya do about the driveshaft lengths.. i'm going to about 4" of lift in the spring.. but this deal came up with these axles.. so if i can do it without a ton of...
I have a line on some waggy d44's.. that i could put in my XJ.. i think.. front and rear..
The price is definetly right.
But never having swapped an axle before.. i'm not quite sure what i'll be needing to do..
the rear.. it's pretty straight forward i think..
the front.. well..
I know...
2L engine isn't a hemi head.. it's a pent roof with great detonation resistant properties :)
and yea.. psi is meaningless without CFM..
2 ways of doing it.. small exhaust wheel and large compressor wheel.. or a smaller compressor wheel and a larger exhaust wheel..
a t-66 would be overkill...
I dont work for a shop.. ehhe.. i run a car club (www.asog.net) and have boosted one of my Chrysler sebrings using mostly old dsm parts from some 1G talons i had.. 12psi on a 9.6:1 compression motor.. with a 14b turbo.. it flew.. till it got a bit lean and i cracked a piston.. hehe OOOPS...
http://www.sdsefi.com/techheader.htm
Instructions on how to build a turbo header.. using common parts :)
sdsefi might be a good idea as well.. replace your stock computer with something that's programmable and understands boost conditions.
Didn't the 4th gen supra use AW-4 auto trannies as well?
and if you want a turbo.. might as well wait for the new liberty diesel if your swapping motors.. i mean.. i wouldn't really want to submerge a supra engine.. however.. a diesel is a whole other ball game :)
turboing a 4L would be pretty simple..
i work on a lot of import cars and such and there's tons of room under the hood of a jeep for a turbo setup.. i don't see why people whine about room.. hhaha.. work under the hood of a dodge stealth for a few minute and you'll appreciate the vast expanses...
