    I find its easier to change on a stock XJ rather than a lifted one. On a lifted one its just that many more inches away from you when you're laying on the ground. Packing the socket with grease is the best advice. Do it for each bolt when removing and each bolt when putting it back together...

    4.0L (even lower output than the 88+) didn't come until 87 anyway - 2.5 I don't know much about.

    My buddies little sister had an S10 with the 2.8 in it and it was AWFULLY slow! DO NOT by one of them. Honestly, I love both of my RENIX 4.0's.

    I saw a lifted 2wd XJ once and it looked really strange from the front because of the lack of a front diff.
