I got a copy of the move. got it at Quadrateck.

I dont like the fixed vent. Never looked into switching. Now that I know it is that eazy I am going to switch.

You need a small hood vent like these. !!!1 :doh: You will notice there is no hood latch that is the reason for the hood pins.

I installed a twin electric fan set up using a OEM fan. Twin Elect fan. It workes well and was eazy to install.

Check out the Proto-Fab. They make a few tube style bumbers. Proto-Phab XJ This is what i think you want. Proto-Pab I have ther RockSolid Winch Bumber with the Pre Runner bar. It has held up well for me.

This is what I did. I think it looks good and keeps the underhood temp down.

You will see a bolt on the back side and one on the overhead. I used a opened wrench on the back side and a ratchet and socket on the overhead bolt. Once you remove all four bolts two on each side you can open the hood. The hood will not pop up on it's own as the springs are part ov the latch...

I shuld be on the firewall under the hood. :cool:

Had that nickname from the age of nine. But you were right on both counts. Retired seven years ago as a tugboat captian and also my wife and I owne a boat. Plus have a small marine bussiness.

Yes they are marine vents. Mine are stainless because they were free so I painted them black. When I put them in I did not cut any hood suports. P.S. SeaDog brand

Hood vents cool them down alot. I put mine in a year ago. I have no problem with rain or snow giting in.

In this picture you can see how I moved the new rad forward. I cut a slot in the old hole and welded a fender washer for the new bottom mount. This was maimley because I put in a oversize rad. After removing the stock manul fan I ground down the studs even with the nuts to give more room.
