    MaxA/C vs everything else...

I know that the MaxA/C setting recirculates air (reheating itself) but is there any other reason that I get heat using that setting and no heat from any other setting??? def/heat/vent/or other a/c settings.... '87 wagon, 4.0, auto, new hoses, flush/fill, new thermostat, new filler cap, etc...

I'm curious to know if and where there is a check engine, service engine, or maintenance light for my Wagoneer??? I can't find one anywhere I've looked, including the cluster on the dash to the left of the guages??? Do I not have one?? I know I don't have OBD of any kind and I'm pretty sure...

    Rat-a-tat-tat goes my shifter

I lost the dust sleeve a long rime ago and am notorious for letting coins fall down into the center console where they rattle around on the bumpy roads. Maybe something got in there or maybe your linkage is coming loose???

Wierd Heater Problem - no heat until I move

If I could enter the my own question here. I'm driving down the road, it's cold so I turn the heater on. It's all nice and toasty and fine untill a few minutes later it's justy luke warm if not, cold air coming through the vents. Shut it off (the heater) and wait a little while and presto...

    alternater question

Had a similar issue last month. Turned out to be a little 14-16ga green wire coming off the alternator. It had rubbed against something or caught on something and was frayed nearly apart. 2 second fix and about 5 cents for the but connector.

    Bog

Issue solved... sort-of. I was looking all over the engine compartment as I do every few weeks trying to figure out the problem. I thought, 'What have I not been checking???' So I started looking at the engine block itself. Anyway, It turned out to be a bad ground on the pass side of the...

    Bog

My 87 Waggy has this exact same issue. Once it warms up it sputters through about 15-1700 RPM. Sometimes it just a momentary hesitation and other times it take about 20 seconds of sputtering before she takes off. annoying as you know what. It'll do it at idle, start stop, and on the highway...

    diagnosing engine knock

How long did it take you to get the engine bearings replaced?? I have a nasty knock in my wagoneer that I think is the rear crank bearing and I might as well replace as much as I can when I'm in there...

    Sharp turn Problem....

A quick "add-a-??" if I could. I have similar issues but with mine, at near full lock to full lock the front end feels as though there's a locker in the front diff. The outside wheel hops and skips. But I know that it isn't. I've jacked it up and spun the wheels just fine, the dif isn't engaged.

    200,000 0n April 25, 2005

My 87 Waggy cracked 500,000km on a long distance tripin early April and I missed it by half a km. I was so mad for days, still am a little upset, but the wife still doesn't get it either.

Warning to all with factory driving lights

When I first bought my Waggy I replaced the drive lights and noticed that the upgraded lights started to cut in and out... Eventually I just rewired the drive and high beams through relays and my own wiring triggering from the stock steup but powered straight from the battery. Huge improvement.

    Renix TPS adjustment confusion...

I think I figured it out... After speaking with a few local mechanics (Actuall mechanics not the dealer drones) I figure that my Stator is pooched... It's all good when its not warm, but when it gets wam, the engnie sputters... But only at 1500RPM, above and below it's all good. New stator...
