The xj in cast away was cronalogicly(sp?) wrong it was a 97 or newer body style, it showed Tom Hanks in the xj before the crash witch was before 1997

i have two options fliped dana 300 or a 4 to 1 231. i dont think the 231 would take the extra torque, i was also think on doing a 231/dana 300 doubler. doyou ( jeep 87 cherokee) have the 465 in your xj

they will fit fine I run a 36 12.5 on a 7 " rim. The skinner rim will not pop the bead easier than a wider rim. the force of the tire compressing actualy forces the bead into the rim bead making it very tough to pop off the bead

I just got a new (Used) welder Hobart 175 I am faily comfortable welding. I have never welded to a Xj frame before I would like to sleve it or plate it. what setings should I use and what wire. any help would be greatfull.

yep I use to run them I think they are 4.25 inches
