Inspectors don't care, half of them give the impression they wouldn't know a swaybar if it jumped up and bit them anyway. I did some parking lot donut testing before and after removing the rear swaybar on mine, and never noticed any real difference. Drives the same on the highway too.
In case anyone is looking, the LKQ salvage near I45 currently has a 2.8L Cherokee and a newer cherokee with a class 5 uhaul receiver in perfect shape just waiting to be pulled.
Do you have a set of ATV ramps? you can put them next to each other and use tow straps to attach them to the bed of the truck so they won't slip off, then slide the engine (assuming it's in a crate) down the ramp they form.
My jeepster has passed 3 inspections with nonfunctioning backup lights, and I've been told that they are not on the inspection list.
It's horn is currently activated by an on/off toggle switch, and according to my inspector as long as it works and he can reach it then it passes.
The CB radio mount above my XJ's rearview mirror was loose and apparently was putting enough weight on the mirror that it fell off yesterday! Is there an easy way to remount it?

Definitely have a trusted mechanic look at it. Is it being sold by an individual or a dealership? If a dealership, make especially sure that you pick the mechanic, not the seller.
