I kinda wondered if bar pin eliminators might help..
Yes it is 4.5 on short arms.. I looked at the angle tho and it doesn't seem that bad however perhaps it is on to much of an angle at the axel side?
Ahhh I get it now! Ok so with that said the drive shaft will only shorten up when the rear is on the droop side of the flex and 1" of available driveshaft compression should be enough.
So back to my shock question now that I have that cleared up. I still can't figure why my shock bushings...
The front shocks are hooked up the way they would be from the factory.. the steel lower pin and two bolts.
So as my suspension compresses that slip joint extends?
I would think that it would be the other way around... as the rear end travels closer to the truck it would shorten the distance...
88 xj with a non disco front D30. I am running clayton short arms and 4.5" Re springs. The shocks are superlift cheapo's and the problem I am having is that the lower shock bushings only last about 2 weeks . The 2 weeks would not be very many miles, maybe 300-500 max. Is it the cheap shocks or...
Drilling may get you close to where you want to be with the track bar, however like was said above. Adjustable track bars are the best solution period. As for your lean, I would grab a measuring tape and measure your coils. You may be looking at a saggy coil.
Ok then my next question is. What does a set of 4.5 RE coils measure out to be in inch's? I think I might have bigger coils here than what I had planed for!
Ok I have no idea how to post a picture.. What is happing is that I cant get my coils to sit in straight. So I came on here and got control arm lengths for different height lifts and when I adjusted my uppers and lowers to what the chart said my lca hits where the shock bolts to the housing and...
I Just picked up some clayton short arms, upper and lowers. I also got the trac bar and hd mount as well as a set of 4.5 RE coils. The problem is when I get all four arms in the lowers hit my housing. Do I need to modify my spring perch's or something?
