Tried disconnecting the passenger airbag, and cut off the connector and disconnected the wires under the dash. Still get the same fault code that passenger air bag squib short. What a pisser. Giving it a rest.

Have you checked the ground between the motor and chassis? It's the one by the head on cylinder six to the firewall. Originally a cheap piece of strap wire. If it's cruddy, replace it with 5 gauge wire and terminals. Another one from the negative battery terminal to the chassis...

Thx Tim. I pull the battery cables and wait at least 45 minutes before tinkering with this stuff. Have plenty experience with CADs/squibs. Good to know that the this simple system doesn't need some specialty tool to reset a PROM.
