    Electrical gremlins! Wife's driving, help!

Thanks for your help! Maybe I'm dense, but I'm not sure what you are trying to tell me in regards to the connection between the gauge and switch...

    Electrical gremlins! Wife's driving, help!

Can anyone confirm weather or not the temperature gauge circuit is in any way connected to the multifunction switch circuit. I've inspected everything and the only thing that's seems out of sorts is the switch. Thanks for your help!

    Electrical gremlins! Wife's driving, help!

Thanks for the input gents! Last night when she got home, the temperature gauge was back to normal. However, the high beams wouldn't come on when switching normally. They did work with the flash to pass mode and the switch being held back. I replaced the multifunction switch last year and...

    Electrical gremlins! Wife's driving, help!

My wife is on her way home with another 45 minutes of her 90 minute commute. She just called and said that the temp gauge was jumping from "very low" to 150° normally runs at 200-210. I had her pull into a rest stop and take a look. Everything looked good so I'm thinking bad sender or gauge...

    Fan/Idler pulley/AC/Alt bracket help!

I'm glad it worked out for you. I've done plenty of "schechy" things in my 40+ years of wrenching. The older I get, the less of a rush I'm in. I guess my experience of having a few instances where I wasn't doing "by the book" but it seemed fine right up until it didn't has made me more cautious...

    Fan/Idler pulley/AC/Alt bracket help!

IMHO you were lucky. Best to at a minimum, use a longer bolt and washers. If you bugger up the threads in the crank snout, you're in for a world of hurt...

    Fan/Idler pulley/AC/Alt bracket help!

Again assuming, but it seems to me that the "Y" style would offer more clearance.

    Fan/Idler pulley/AC/Alt bracket help!

Thanks! I'm thinking that a longer bolt with several heavy washers and grease would do the trick as well.

    Fan/Idler pulley/AC/Alt bracket help!

Thanks for the quick reply! I've got custom bumpers built years ago from AJ'S Off-road Armour. The front is kind of ARB style with the winch inside, behind the license plate holder. I don't think it's super tight, I'll check w/ the socket and extention in a little while, thanks again for the...

    Fan/Idler pulley/AC/Alt bracket help!

Does the bumper have to be removed? I've got a heavy winch bumper with overriders, and as I said, no helper. To compound it, I'm working out in the grass... Thanks! I was thinking of gently warming the balancer with a small heater or a heat gun. Not enough to damage it, just enough so the...

Thanks gentlemen! Is it possible to do w/o pulling grill, rad, etc.?

    Fan/Idler pulley/AC/Alt bracket help!

Many thanks! Manual transmission. No helper available, any tricks for doing it solo? If I use a "Y" style puller, is it possible to do it without removing the grill, radiator and condenser?

    Fan/Idler pulley/AC/Alt bracket help!

Would this one do the trick? Dorman 594-018 The local Autozone has one in stock, but here is a picture courtesy of Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-594-018-Harmonic-Balancer/dp/B000C122FS

Thanks! Would you by chance know the part number?

    Fan/Idler pulley/AC/Alt bracket help!

I had no idea there were two parts to the crank pulley, I think that with your help, I've found the problem! I can see that the part that the serpentine belt contacts has moved forward and I can see some of the rubber delaminating and separating on the back side close to the engine block. What's...
