    BEWARE - Teamcherokee web site

Teamcherokee, Teamwrangler, Teamgrandwagoner. Beware they don't honer their sales agreement. I ordered a wiper switch assembly for my XJ and it was defective. I contacted them as per their web site instructions. They initially sent me an email with a form to fill out and return. I tried to...

    Swaybar Disconnects

I've used the JKS since '05 and have installed new bushings and sleeves twice now. Even greasing them on a regular basis doesn't make them last forever. The sleeves are aluminum, thus wear faster than steel and the bushings do eventually stretch. Mind you, I'm not complaining just the...

    Broken Hood release cable

I've used a Dremmel with a cut off wheel and gently cut the outer sheathing off to get access to the wire. I then clamped vise grips and pulled. Can't always do it if the wire breaks off more toward the engine compartment.

Have you ever thought of Summit Machine products. Their Jimmy Joint works great in a track bar without need of regular or misalignment washers http://www.summitmachine.com/index.php?p=customParts&cp=jj You just gotta be willing to keep it lubed and it'll be trouble free for a long time. It's...

    Rear main seal help

Unfortunately, if it's still leaking then you didn't do something right. The very first time I did the seal change, I got impatient with the oil cover gasket. It didn't want to stay in place and I didn't want to wait to get some contact cement to make it happen. My impatience ended up being...

97 & Up XJ Questions About Conversion

Do you actually need to swap the engine and transmission? If you are only needing to use the 4WD parts from the 92 and install on the 98, then you have minimal electronics involved. Or, is the idea to have a manual in the 98 along with the 4WD components? Still, minimal issues. If you really...

    Rear main seal help

If what you have is a 2 piece seal you do it with the engine in. If it's a one piece seal then the engine is pulled. You seriously want the 2 piece seal. This will tell you how to do it. http://jeepin.com/features/rearmain
