I didn't believe all the crap about blocks to the extent that everyone says... Until i've watched by buddies rear driveshaft slide off the tcase from axle wrap at least five times in a few hours of wheeling. And that's not even flexing, just in mud. He's running a 3" block

Shackles angled forward rough country 4.5

Re: Shackles angled foreword rough country 4.5 That should only affect pinion angle.. and if they are pointing the "wrong way" than someone installed them backwards

    What are you towing with?

Right at the limit... Keeping it stylish with the stock xj wheels on the trailer

    TRAILERING A RIG

I use 2 ratcheting straps, one front and one rear, I've found one of the straps will sometimes loosen up... next time I pass by them I'll probably pick up two more.

    heat wrap the cat

This might be a dumb question but what do you guys mean by cookie sheets? Like literally baking pans? My passenger floor gets a little hot in the summer months without carpet I'd like to insulate it

Nice username, lol. I can see why theyre a slightly better axle compared to other 60s, but for the price they go I really dont understand either.

I would just hate to regret not getting a 60 later on

I've done a good bit of research, it seems most people just throw numbers out in comparison to d44s and 60s, and not so much on people actually running them offroad. Basically d60 from the C's out, and d44 everywhere else except for the ring gear which is a little larger. I found one with 4.88s...

    custom lift

For anyone looking for a well built xj for mud... Ignore the ghetto leaf spring clamps http://www.cherokeeforum.com/f54/august-cotm-winner-104444/

    custom lift

I live where theres only mud so I know what your trying to do. Its an entirely different build then the majority of people on here whom run trails and rocks.. But honestly I wouldn't go that big of lift unless your going full width. I'm planning on going around 12" of lift and 40's-ish but not...

    Orlando area

That would be Hard Rock. And I'm used to mud, south Florida is my hometown and that's all we have down there
