    Could tires be the cause of death wobble?

    I have a 98 xj 4 1/2 lift. New control arm bushing, new trackbar bushings , new ball joints, everything tight, steering box tight, new stabilizer. No drop pitman arm, shocks about 2 years old.     Death Wobble has me stumped

    Can bad ball joints be part of a DW problem? I've rebuilt all my control arms and track bar, still have problem.     Thanks. Got her back together. Left carrier in and used all thread through the axle tube to the spiders to compress clutch disks. Worked out pretty good.

    Depends on what you want, stock type rubber or polyurethane. Ive had good luck with ones from NAPA. At first i used some crappy ones from auto zone and the lasted about six months or less. I have avoided poly type only because the will transmit noise and vibrations a lot more then rubber.

    Thanks for the help. I kinda figured it went through the radiator to warm it up quicker and not cool. And thanks for mentioning which side you put it on, that was my next question.

    just shackles or shackle reloaction to gain height?

    So should I do the relocation and extended shackles? Along with a better ride I'd like to get about and inch of lift. My wife has now figured out what JEEP really stands for.
