I used to be a member when I first ran across this site. I am on this site almost daily but to be honest, the $30 ( I think) I spend didn't get me much other than a sticker and my name in red. That was cool 1 time. I don't live near enough to events that NAXJA sponsors so that doesn't help...

If you choose to go the 6.0L Chevy route make sure it has 4.10 gears. The earlier model's had 3.73's and didn't pull that good. That might explain my the one guy who posted above gets poor mileage with his.

Look through an industrial supply catalog. There was a Morse set 1/16 - 1/2 by 16ths set that my students used that we had good luck with. I believe they were HSS and surface treated.
