I did the peugeot to ax15 swap, and now when i drive my jeep the transmission makes a funny noise when in gear like it has no fluid in the tranny, but it does, it does it realy bad when i turn, like somethings binding up or something, but not when its in neutral, its really hard to describe...

What causes the serpentine belt to get chewed up, my belt was brand new when i bought my jeep, now it is half gone, that was less than a few months ago, my friend said his harmonic balancer was the problem. I'm trying to get some input on if that's it or not.

did you hook the linkage up rite, if so i would make sure you tightened it up all the way, the part that ataches to the tcase i mean.

I didnt take out the clutch just replace the transmission, although the truck did like to move while the clutch was push in like it wasnt disengaging all the way with the other transmission.

ya you do have a point i don't know why i didnt think of that, but i dont think the out put shaft should be moving when it is in nutral, i wonder if i put the drive line in it would move? The tranny also shifts fine in 1st and 2nd but difficult shifting into 3rd and doesnt want to shift into 4th...
