So this is where all these people are coming from! I was getting all these emails about injectors and thought, I haven't posted an ad for injectors using my email address in forever how the hell are all these people finding me! I do have injectors but at the moment have none cleaned and...
The 0280156007 he mentioned come in 2001 and up Dodge and Chrysler minivans with the 3.3L engine. They are a bright green. DON'T confuse them with the dark green 0280155789s which are also in Dodge Chrysler minivans. You will need to remove the entire plastic intake manifold to get to a set of...
There really is no special tool. I've changed a bunch of intakes for people ('99+ intake upgrade) and unless you have small hands it's a pain. You can try sticking the bolt on a socket with something and then using an extension to reach in there. The bolts don't require a lot of effort once in...
I considered every option. The problem is there are basically no holes to fill or drill. My whole engine shifted forwards and basically 2 of the bolts ripped off parts of the mounting studs. I made this crude drawing to show what I have. basically the engine and mount studs are on the bottom in...
Long story short my XJ was in a wreck and 2 of the 3 right side motor mount bolt holes (The treaded ones that extend out from the engine block) cracked. One is just useless now and the other is only half threaded. (Sorry no pics). I see there are a number of other threaded holes on the right...
That would be a good place to start. If it was me and you werent sure I would either replace that injector or if you don't have an extra injector just swap 2 of them around, clear the codes and see if the code moves to the new cylinder along with the injector.
Re: 703's Made My '91 HAPPY!
Congrats  It`s actually a real easy swap to do. I've seen "how to" write ups that tell you to take off a LOT more than you need to to do this. As you said just remove the throttle cable bracket and the one hose and you can easily get the rail on. I've...
LOL Yeah if all 4 holes were each and of themselves the same size as the single hole in the stock injector. Hell, I have 12 hole injectors here that put out less fuel than a single hole stock injector.
You don't know what you are talking about, do you?
It's easy to quote specs off some website and SOUND like you know what you are talking about. ;)
Basically (Without boring everyone with flow data, pulse width, etc) WOT can't be used as a base as that is not a real world situation. Injectors typically only operate at 80% of their max...
Well obviously you know more about injectors than the guys who do it for a living and are the worlds leading authority on the subject so I guess I shall spread the word for everyone who did the swap and raves about the benefits to quickly yank the 703s and 784s they have been running for years...
This "upgrade" has been used in literally 10's of thousands of 4.0 XJs over the years and every possible technical angle has been beaten to death in the discussions so whether it is "good" has already been decided long ago and proven over millions of miles of driving in 4.0's. Forget Wide Open...
