HF20ton here. Works well, $149 on sale. Practice welding the bolt together frame and add some beef to it. Several sites online showing how to improve it. Great 4 the $. Get the 20 and check out the Swag off road accesories.
I use an old Craftsman floor jack, 2.5 ton and a new Harbor Freight 3 ton heavy steel one & love them both. I also use 3, 6, and 12 ton HF jack stands with good results. I think the stands are on sale right now! Can't go wrong.
I bought a MAC on E-Bay for $80, 1/2 drive w/ max 250 ft/lbs. Mac/blue point/snap on/matco -- bid till ya buy! No need to be new, and the top of the line manufacturers will recalibrate them for you if needed. JM

I did it. I have been running the 4.10 geared HP 30 and 8.8 4.10 LSD w/ disks combo for several years now w/ 31s. @ 2000 rpm at 60mph. Pulls well. Won't turn the tires over on dry pavement, but otherwise the gearing is great. I get @ 17-18mg in mixed daily driving. The swap was easy as you have...
