I can't run my bfg muds lower that 18psi or I will spring bead leaks...
I even get leaks at 18, but not as much as at 15 or lower. You will know that your cutting off the saver has worked if the morning after a run you don't have four flat tires.

I don't know if anyone else has this problem with BFG muds, but every single time I air down to anything below 20psi and wheel in any type of mud or snow I end up with leaky beads. The next day I usually have at least 3 completely flat tires when I wake up. I love everything about the BFG MT...
A couple more clues...the gear ratio is 3.31, and it is 5 lug.
