I've used several in other places too...only problem I've ever had is the range of the signal. Like everything from china, who knows until you get it... I'm sure you can find a name brand for around $20 these days.

The newer ones definitely move more air and make less noise. More efficient blade design. It's possible they could pull less amps also, but I'm not sure. The newest ones are the most "S" shaped blades and should move the most air, not sure what year they started that. There was another upgrade...

Forgot to mention - you might try using some 15w40 oil temporarily, if it quiets the squeak down you know it's an oiled bearing somewhere.

Or whatever you have a big pile of already. :dunno: 5w30 is definitely one of the grades specified in the manual, though I agree they like 10w40. Last oil change I used Delo synthetic 5w40, and the engine sounded quite nice with lots of hot weather driving.
