I have lift shackles. Trying to figure out whether I need to have custom shackles made or not.
Of note, I have deaver coil springs in front as well. There is a noticeable sag in the rear after putting these Deavers on.
Going to call Deaver for some input as well.
What would be the...
I just replaced my old leafs with a new set of deaver 4" lift leaf pack. The jeep now sits 1.5 lower in the rear with the new leaf pack. Thinking about just putting a 1.5" lifting block in to raise the rear. I need the clearance to prevent the tires from rubbing at full compression.
Any...
100 hours on head? Holy crap. When we were still boat racing and setting up pro gas and blown gas deals, we had way less time than that. Crazy amount of time on a head.
I've searched through the forums, and am not finding good info on what stroker is the most liked. I'm looking to put a stroker in my 92 xj. Any help with who the go to company is. I'm in Yorba Linda, CA, would love to find a knowledgeable place down here some place that can do a complete...
Ok. To answer the questions.
1st, I bought it from Steve, one week after he bought it. His wife hated it, so it sat in his garage for a week in Havasu untouched. So no, nothing changed from when Chris delivered to Havasu for him. I know Steve from a boating site, where the jeep was posted a...
I ended up with this xj. Nice jeep. But misrepresented for sure. Found out the hard way, that this jeep does not have a detroit locker in the rear. In fact has a factory limited slip 8.25 only. Also does not have deaver leaf pack in back (per deaver). So, $700 deaver leaf pack, and $600...
Not yet :looney: Haven't driven on the freeway yet though. If it becomes an issue, I will change the driveline to dual ujoints in the front to help with the angle.
To be honest, I'm just happy knowing I can tow without dragging the jeep with wheels sideways. LOL.
At 50 mph, no vibration.
Update. Everyone was right. Castor was at 0. They adjusted to 4.5* Flat towed it home tonight. Worked perfectly. Wouldn't have known to suggest castor without the help here.
Thanks!
6" long arm Y link lift. Deaver progressive rate coil springs. Bilstein 7100 remote reservoir shocks. Dana 30 with detroit soft locker in front.
It was sig ep mock's old xj from on here. Bought it a few months ago.
Thanks. Have it at a shop now trying to get caster adjusted. Also found that it has no steering stabilizer on it. Going to install one back on it.
Not sure how much caster they can put back in it. Guess I'll know tomorrow night.
