I had a bad speed sensor and vehicle had same symptoms. When computer sees a difference between input and output speed sensor the AW4 goes into limp mode and stays in third. Made it appear you had a loss of power. Check both sensors. Fixed mine.

Motor mounts and rear transmission mount are all good. I replaced CPS last year with non OEM unit. I leaning toward a problem with it causing the tach to bounce. My understanding is that tach signal comes from CPS. Not sure of correlation between CPS and VSS. I know if VSS speed is a couple of...
