Where to find NP 242 t-case bezel and gate?

I realize I can make it work without those parts and if I was the only one driving it I would do just that. However, my girlfriend will also be driving it and I want it so she knows exactly what range she is in. I also like my stuff to look factory and not cobbled up, I'm kinda strange like...

Where to find NP 242 t-case bezel and gate?

I am at a complete loss as to where to find these items. My local junk yards have nothing and the dealer can't get them. I need to get my swap done before the weather gets nasty and those are the only two parts I need to get it done. Does anybody have a source to get these things from? Thanks...

    Question on A/C Compressor Replacement

Thanks for the reply. The compressor should be here tomorrow so I should be able to get it back on the road. Thanks again.

    Question on A/C Compressor Replacement

So the beaing went out on my ac compressor and it pretty much ruined the whole thing. Can I put on a different compressor and just run it without being charged, or will that damage something? I'm a little short on time and cash so I'm just trying to figure out how to get by for now. I want to...

ZJ or WJ Seats. Which are more comfortable?

Thanks guys, I'm gonna put a lot of money into my Jeep over the summer to make it a more reliable and comfortable daily driver. I'm just trying to do my research and get the best stuff I can for what I want to do to it. I did wonder about the availiability of ZJ seats that would be in good...

ZJ or WJ Seats. Which are more comfortable?

I am wanting to upgrade the seats in my XJ and it seems like seats out of a Grand Cherokee are the way to go. I don't really have any questions about installing them as I found some good writeups about it (although trying to wire for power might slow me up, not my forte). Just wondering from the...

How do I make my 2000 a rock solid Daily Driver?

A little update. I pulled the valve cover today and couldn't see a crack. I then noticed the smell of antifreeze up by the radiator. I think I may have a small leak and that is where my coolant loss is coming from. I sure hope that's all it is anyway. Thanks for the other suggestions too.

How do I make my 2000 a rock solid Daily Driver?

I will definitely be pulling the valve cover tomorrow to see if I can see anything. I actually just checked the oil today and it was fine, didn't smell like there is coolant in it. If the head is cracked is it more economical to just buy a different motor, it seems like there should be a lot of...

How do I make my 2000 a rock solid Daily Driver?

I'm guessing the P.O. Used the 4wd a lot on pavement. It came from a city driver. I think that the full-time option on the 242 would suit the type of driving that I do with it very well. I did notice that mine is using a little coolant :( Where is the most common place for them to crack? I do...

How do I make my 2000 a rock solid Daily Driver?

My 2000 is my Daily Driver, I put about 50 miles a day on it. I've had it for almost a year and it has given me pretty much flawless service, but it does have 135,000 miles and I want to ensure many more miles of trouble free service. One of the first things I need to do is replace the transfer...

    4X4/Transfer Case Problems

I have a 2000 Sport. It's an automatic with the 231 TC and I am having some problems with 4WD. When I engage 4x4 I get this awful howl/whine from right underneath the center console so I'm pretty much certain it's coming from the case. It also bangs and jerks every once in awhile. This is my...
