    Really weird blinker issue.

Hmmm. Didn't know it was a multipiece setup. Have to check it out. I'm also going to go through and make sure the bulbs in the rear are good as well as the front again. Thanks.

    Really weird blinker issue.

OK, here is one for the Brain Trust (tm). I have a 96XJ. I found the shorted wire which originally caused my lights to short out; it was the right front side blinker. I also replaced the "clicker" relay under the dash. What I have now is this: 1) Light switch off - left blinker is fine, right...

Clutch pedal hits floor, won't shift??

UPDATE: OK, I topped off the fluid and I drove it around today. What I found was after 20 mins, the transmission will "lock" into a gear or nto want to go into a gear. If it gets locked, the clutch pedal stays on the floor. I shut the jeep off, release the clutch pedal, and it will come back...

Clutch pedal hits floor, won't shift??

No, no leaking. Plastic line is solid and not warped or bent in any way. I doubt the fluid level has ever been checked on this thing. Previous owner abused it, I have been fixing all sorts of little things on it.

Clutch pedal hits floor, won't shift??

OK, I found a good flashlight and checked the fluid. The level is actually fairly low judging from the vertical fill line on the inside. It is also brownish and got some crusty dried crap in it. I inherited this thing with issues, should of checked this, too. I know there is an allen head on...

Clutch pedal hits floor, won't shift??

I got an issue with my 96 XJ 5speed. This evening while driving around, I came to a light and popped it out of gear. I go to put it in gear - the clutch pedal went to the floor with zero resistance, but it went in to first and did NOT want to come out of gear. I had to shut off the engine to get...

    3.55's + AX-15 = worth the time?

I'm going to go ahead and do it then. Thanks.

    3.55's + AX-15 = worth the time?

To answer some of the questions: No, I won't be regearing any time soon; I just don't have the cash for it. I got the axles for free (front) and $30 (rear, has completely new drum/hardware setup and all seals!!) so the only thing I will replace money wise is the front axle upper arm bushings...

    3.55's + AX-15 = worth the time?

I've got a 96 w/ an AX-15, stock 3.07's on 32" M/T's. I have a set of 3.55 auto axles sitting around. Is the swap worth the time? I know 3.55's aren't much higher, but they got to be some what better than 307's. I did do the gear math thing on tire size, and came to 3.63, so its pretty close...

Auto swap in a OBDii XJ.

After wheeling an auto and then a manual, I'm choosing the auto purely for easier wheeling. I want the manual set up because I can shift without thinking, and when I need to stop, I can actually stop without stalling. Granted, I'm still stuck on 3.07 gears - I got some 3.55 axles wondering...
