FWIW, mine is a '98, and there were no physical washers (shims) between my end cap and piston housing, BUT there was a gap between the cap and housing. The cap was effectively "shimmed" into place with thread locker. I took it apart, cleaned it, and tightened down against the housing upon...

Couple more notes from my install today. 1) measure the included drill bits. My included 0.076" bit (truck setting) actually measured 0.074". It may not matter much, but considering their note that the holes are very sensitive to size, I found another bit from my set at home that measured...

You can get a sector shaft bearing from Motion Pro for about $30, and the input bearing and seal kit are available on Rock Auto, if the internals are otherwise good and you want to attempt a rebuild yourself. It's a bit tedious, but not hard, and no real special tools needed other than an in-lb...
