Does anybody have a picture of these flares with a snorkel setup? That is about the only thing holding me back right now. I am aware that they will need a little nip and tuck but I want to see what they would look like.
Anybody install stiffeners with a full traction longarm lift. With all the brackets would it be ok for me to just reinforce the exposed sections of unibody.
The same thing happened to me. What I did was lift the carpet inside and drilled a hole just above the nut. This way the hole is inside and just replaced the welded nut with a chunk of flat stock and a new nut a washer. Hope this helps
I have a question that I hope someone knows the answer to. My son has a trail only 75 CJ-5 he has taken out the ring and pinion. The ratio is 3.73 in a low pinion housing. Will the ping and pinion out of a low pinion XJ dana 30 fit in the CJ housing. Or for that matter will and newer LP Dana 30...
Thanks for the link I will check it out. As for prepping the axleshaft I did clean it up before installing the seals. Maybe it does have something to do with the -45 degree weather. I ran synthetic grease in just like everything else on my Jeep (motor, tranny, t/c, and diffs) I was just thinking...
I have torn up the superior axles seals in my Dana 30 twice. I have purchased the replacement ones #HS-41541 twice and it is getting old quick. Has anyone taken the time to measure the outer axle diameter and the inner dimensions of the seal and tried to find a different style of seal. You know...
I just installed a Full traction 6" lift on my 98XJ. The one leaf spring nut located under the passenger rear seat broke loose. I have found that using a hole saw to access the nut worked better than cutting a square hole. Not sure if it is better but it was easier than cutting out a square.
Hate to hijack a thread but does has anyone installed 2dr B/W on a four door? I am aware that the rear flare would need to be cut to work. Reason I am asking is my old 2dr finally bit the cookie and now I have started building up my 98 4dr and would hate to have to buy new flares.
Finally got the lift swapped over to the new XJ. Will get the bumpers and rockrails instaled next turn around. Here is a link to my clubs site where you can see pictures. http://www.freeforum101.com/ykoffroad/viewtopic.php?t=613&mforum=ykoffroad
Has anybody heard of someone putting JK Rubicon axles under their XJ? If so do the brackets line up or do you have to fab up all new mounts? I have tried to search this but have not been able to get any tech. I have seen a few pictures where people have said they did it but nobody is really...
I run a FullTraction 6" L/A with a one inch spacer on 35"MTZ. She is my DD and weekend Toy. Here is a link to some pictures. Mines the Black on with the snorkel.
