Thanks guys, I actually had a Lido in my old XJ that I scored for $20 at a junkyard. Looking at buying an XJ here in Japan and came across this one I've never seen before.
I was trying to say he posted what he has and what he should have but never said he adjusted to make his output 17% of his input. OP you simply loosen the two screws holding the TPS to the throttle body and adjust the TPS (twist it) until you have the reading you are supposed to have. All TPS...
On the notion of grasping at straws I'm going to throw this out there. Did you actually adjust the TPS by twisting it slightly until your readings were correct? Posts 25 and 26 to me read like you know it is supposed to be 4.94 and .83 and cruiser confirmed it for you but an earlier post you...
I cant find the thread right now but you could also take the hollow bolt out of the axle and cut the part that is not threaded to help keep fluid from entering the vent.
If the vehicle is drivable you can take it to any tire shop and have it done in 5 minutes. Had this issue when I lost a key to my gorilla locks. Got three of them off with the Irwin sockets but the fourth wouldn't budge. The counter guy walked out and came back with the lug nut off. Didn't...
Double check the wiring if you haven't already, mine would come on and off randomly. found a broke wire underneath above the transfer case that was grounding out when I hit bumps. Fixed the wire and it works perfect.
I was leaning towards BDS or Synergy when I get home from my current deployment. Post #25 in this thread http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/starts-again-2097769/index2.html has me leaning towards Synergy since I have the NP242 and BDS doesn’t offer a skid plate for it plus this would allow me...
What he is saying is not a failure of the CPS rather than a loss of connection. If your bell housing is loose then it seperates just a little in reverse and this seperation causes the CPS to loose its signal. I could see the same happening on a hill climb as well. I would get under your Jeep...
Just replace the roll pin with one found at your local hardware store. I had to push the roll pin inward and snap it with a sharp chisel into 3 or 4 pieces to successfully remove it. That was the hardest part of the rebuild. For the rear bearing that requires a blind hole puller I rented one...
You sure its still around? I bought my XJ in AZ and now its resides in NJ with MI registration. If you still have the VIN Carfax will tell you if it has been wrecked or moved on.
Yup, I've had the bolt at the frame end snap on me. Luckily I was going 5mph and was done wheeling for the day. Steering was non existent until I replaced the bolt. Can we get a pic of this lowered mount? If it was done wrong then it might be your issue. I know the stock arms are not...
