    30 spline FF dana 60 vs 30 spline 44

I have considered going to a 14 bolt, but in reality vs the 60 the only big savings would be not having to buy new axle shafts, but assuming i stay 30 spline the stockers would work. My main goal for this build was to be able to run 35's and not worry about spare parts, and breaking on the...

    30 spline FF dana 60 vs 30 spline 44

I got the 60 for free from my dad, so no big deal there. I guess maybe boring the spindles would be alright i have read your right up also.

    30 spline FF dana 60 vs 30 spline 44

I am currently building a front 44 and have a ff dana 60 to match the front, both 8 lug. I am going to run 35's and cromos all around. I am not planning on larger tires ever as this is most likely overkill for me anyways. Will the dana 60 if left 30 spline with new cromo shafts be stronger than...

    44 and 60 bolt pattern????

I will check for links in the axle thread on the bolt pattern change. I remember looking at your build on another site to keep it full float, i do know someone who could weld the axle. I think the more I search even tho its more work, I think i will narrow it and go semi float and 5 on 5.5...

    44 and 60 bolt pattern????

I may do the chevy knuckle swap and that would get me closer with flat top knuckles, and i could narrow it. Won't H1 wheels create problems with the steering. I thought the h1's would interfere with the drag link and tie rod. O well lots of ideas. I still have time and alot of searching to...

    44 and 60 bolt pattern????

yay i keep up with the advanced fab area, i have been watching your build for ideas cause you are building my axles, 60 front not 44. I guess maybe i need to just stay full width, and deal with an 80 inch wide stance.

    44 and 60 bolt pattern????

I have a 78 f-250 8 lug HP D44, and a 78 rear dana 60 8 lug. I am planning on narrowing the rear and going semi float, but am only finding dual bolt pattern shafts so I am limited to the 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern. I have been searching will no luck as to what parts I need to convert my front 44 to 5...

    removing A/C?

I removed the condenser and the lines to the point where they enter the engine bay, after the front of my jeep was wrecked. I have had no problems or leaks. I say you should have no problem.

Can OME AAL be added to stock pack?

I went the crown HD spring way a few yars back, and it worked great. The new crown springs gave me a bit of lift over stock, but nothing major. I do think the OME AAL is a good option. I was thinking I read at one time that OME made a zero rate AAL that was just to stiffen up the pack for towing...

    rusty nutsert solution?

This is exactly what I did when I instlled my frame stiffners. 1 piece of flat stock with nuts on the back. I intalled my stiffners first , and then cut out the stiffners, and welded the flat stock with nuts flush with the stiffners and the uniframe. has worked really well and is alot...
