Quick question, is it possible to gut the rear differential in any way, and run the jeep in FWD?
I don't want to spend any money on the XJ until insurance figures out what they want to do with it. If they write it off and take it from me, then this will be $150 wasted. if I can gut the diff in...
I don't really want to upgrade because I was recently in a rear end accident (3 weeks ago) and insurance might write my jeep off. This rear end explosion happend at a bad time.
It's currently got no lift, and 235/75/r15's on it. Never wheeled it hard, but I drove it hard on pavement. Not...
I was told it was an LSD when I bought it from the guy. I don't know how to recognise them though.
I'm going to try and find an 8.25 to put in it. Anything with low KM's basically that requires little/no fab work.

Now, the knock has suddenly gotten a LOT louder. It sounds like a bunch of rocks in the engine. I used a screw driver as a stethoscope and couldn't...

This was my thread - similiar?
Here's a fun thing to do. Disconnect the vacuum line to the MAP sensor and try starting it a few times. First will be normal, itll run like crap, shut off, and the next time it'll start up instantaneously. Also my throttle response was improved. RENIX is weird.
