    If you are thinking yellow top may I suggest the $190 Sears DieHard Platinum battery. I think 65 is the size you want. You may have to cut off one lip of the battery tray to fit on the bottom and use something (I used scrap piece of 1/2" pvc pipe) as a spacer between the battery and top bracket...

    From everything I read here (talk of the center pin fitment etc. , perch measurement, pictures [members and commercial packs too]) I figured the shims go on the bottom of the pack .. which is where I put mine - and they raised the pinion just like they were supposed to.     sweetest portable 12v compressor for under $150 or so. Until someone steals it :( They run 60 bucks at pep boys or from amazon, if that helps you gauge the point value. Lot of folks picked them up for 25 ea on closeout from checkers a couple years back so if you google you might see that price...

    on my knuckles, the front(rear) surface is where the gouges are worn in, rather than on the top/bottom surfaces (where the shim goes) so I just left mine in the baggie :dunno:

    If those don't work and want to get it done asap, you could see if any local parts store (don't forget carquest) has Moog CC784 springs.
