My 87 has an RE 3.5 kit with adj control arms and has the same noise. I have checked everything else and looks like the noise is in the CA joint. Don't know how to find out which one.
The pivoting end of my two year old trackbar has some play and now pops when turning. I haven't seen anyone selling just the screw in piece just the whole trackbar. Have been on the RE websites and can't find it separate. Waiting on their reply from my e-mail. Has anyone bought just the end...
Thanks for the insight guys. Think I might just wait for Paragon Jamboree in the fall. Mud I don't mind at all but converting my XJ to an aquarium doesn;t sound like much fun.
My son and I are getting the XJ ready for the Jeep Jamboree in the pinelands in the spring. Not sure what to expect, we spend most of our time up at Paragon. Our XJ is an 87 with a 4.0, AW4, D30 and D44 setup. We have a 3.5 REkit and 32 All terrains. Will be installing front and rear lockers...

Installing a Advance Adapters SYE kit in my 87 XJ. I have seen guys use a front driveshaft for the rear when using this kit. My question is is this strong enough and is it the right length for a 3-4 inch lift kit. Thanks for any help in advance.
I have an 87 XJ with a 3.5 RE superflex kit. After the lift was installed a couple of friends have mentioned my camber looks way off. One of my lower ball joints is now worn out so I'm going to replace all. My question is do I need offset ball joints to compensate for the lift or maybe...
