I bought the frame plates too. Had to drill out a few holes larger. When I got mine the receiver hitch wasn't welded in square. They refunded the price of the receiver. Still looks a little goofy. When I put the winch on in the cradle it really shows. Bumper is stout. Pulled a 5 ton tractor out...
I welded my front 30 two years ago... also have a posi lock. I really like it, if I'm really in the shite I pull the posi lock and the front is locked. Without it locked and in 4wd it does pull when I'm on and off the gas. Overall no problems so far and no stuck. I did jam bolts in between the...
Shipping to the states is expensive, heavy or oversize goes up.
Cost me 30.00 to ship a set of shackles from ontario to ca.
A sound bar for a yj was 43.00
This was all by regular post not ups ... I never ship ups because they charge 25.00 min. to brokerage the package.
Just have a look at the...
I'm in ontario too and have never failed a smog. Here is what I do (on the advice of a used car dealer). Run the vehicle with the best fuel you can buy premium premium. On the day of the etest have the tank near empty ... maybe five dollars worth of premium in it. Put in two litres of methyle...
I put a posi lock on my front ... real easy not a DIY one.
Plugged vacuum by putting screws and silicone into the lines.
Welded my front spiders so now I have a cheap ox locker just not as strong as I fiure my weak link is the collar that joins the two axles.
When I pull on the lock the jeep can...
used oxy-acet
It points down slightly now ... haven't rubbed anything with it, If it does, I cut it. Don't care about the pretty end, care more that it is stainless and doesn't rust.

I bent (modified) mine. Up here the Borla was about the same as taking it to a shop and having it done in steel. As for the warranty .... I don't care its good stainless up in the rust belt thats what I wanted .... if something breaks I'll take it and have it welded, I just hate putting on...
Mine was interfereing with the leaf spring on my 89. I'm sure the extended shackle didn't help. I heated the pipe w/ a torch and then put a pipe in the outlet and "adjusted" it that way. I figured the heat wouldn't bother the stainless. That was over a year ago ... no problems.

I might have a set of backing plates out in the shop for an xj dana 44 ... converting mine to discs. Picking up my caliper brackets and new axle bearings when I'm in Datona.... the stuff is ridiculously expensive up here.
k
Buy it!
You will want to change the brakes anyways .. the d44 drum stuff is real xpensive ... change to discs.
It would cost you more than that just fro the brackets and stuff to mount anything in your xj.
Carriers are cheap and if you are going to regear to 410s or so you would have to change...
I went with a novak transfer case shifter ... I think it was about $100.00 and did away with the z linkage B.S. works great
Check them novak-adapt.com.
Sorry ... can't help you with the ax 15 although I do have a couple ... never had trouble with them.

Yes, it is longer. The driveshaft out of a 5 speed standard cherokee is 1 inch shorter than the auto. Others have just lifted their rig and it takes up the slack.
hope this helps

I'm trying to figure this one out. Usually when my 89 xj 4.0 w/ aw4 is cold
I have some very rough running.
Here are the symptoms: Engine runs very rough, Tach bounces from zero to proper rpm. Give more gas, no result, let foot off accelerator runs fine, add gas, more studdering. Then it will...
