Hey all,
I need some help with a steering problem I'm having. It is much harder to turn left that it is to turn right. Also, when I'm turning left there is a squeaking noise that lines up with how fast I turn. The faster I turn, the faster the squeak is.

I've been away for a while, OK about 2 years. New job + lots of hours + company car = no time for XJ in the driveway and NAXJA. Did the freebie karma thread die out? I loved that thread.
I'm fairly certain I have a leak. When I started it yesterday morning I could see exhaust coming up from the manifold. I'm going to go through and double check all the bolts to make sure they're tight.
I just put Monroe Sensa-Tracs on my stock XJ. I haven't put that many miles on them but them seem OK. A big improvement over my horribly worn out old shocks.
Not necessarily. You just have to know what 96 you have. An early or late production model. A lot of people regard 96 as one of the best years. Same with the 0331 head. There are 2000 models without the 0331 head. Depends on when it was built.
