Picked up a clockspring for a 97 without cruise, swapped in, took care of the problem. Guess its a good thing that I don't use cruise. Thanks for the suggestion guys!

Wanted to see if the part where the oil pressure sending unit threads into can be switched out? Say if the sending unit where cross threaded... I was thinking that with original 4.0L that the sending unit was parallel to the ground and came out of that octagonal block perfectly perpendicular...
