I did all the things mentioned above. I also cleaned the battery terminals and put dielectric grease on them. Jeep ran good for past 2 days.
Driving today my battery gauge jumped to 19V!

Hey, sorry to wake up a dead thread, but im about to to the same thing. My 2000 motor has an awful lot of chunkies in the oil pan, and i can only find motors from 97-99.
