well, a skid is defintely the best option, you can also get a bung and just rotate the sensor around out of the wya...try to keep it as close to the cat as possible. thirdly, if you wanted to just eliminate the 02 sensor all together, you could just get an o2 simm, but they are like 60-70...

you can save a fortune by using 37deg JIC fittings, instead of AN fittings as well....fyi. John

i think you may be refering to the LS1 when you compared it to the northstar, although, thats not the same block either....close though. an lt1 block is basically a regular 350 block with some small differences. im still working on my ls1 swap, which can aslo be had now for around 2-3gs used...

how did you pay? if with credit card, consider disputing the charge with the CC company. companies are not supposed to charge before the order is shipped as i understand it. ive had neutral experiences with them, but your situation doesnt seem uncommon. ~John
