HELP! What shock bushing to buy?

I really did it this time, and I'm stumped I decided to remove the bar pins from my OME front shocks and make bar pin eliminators from my rear sway bar that was lying around. In the process of removing the bar pins, I totally destroyed the bushings. What kind of bushings do I buy? -Shock...

    u-bolts

Agreed, ehall. I just happen to have a set of 5/8" bolts, so I'm looking for a way to widen the holes, otherwise it's a new set of plates. Any ideas?

    u-bolts

For those of you that upgraded to 5/8" ruff stuff u-bolts, did you have to bore out the holes on the plates? What kind of bit did you use to do this?

The argument AGAINST an upgraded tie rod

I searched for this one, but did not find a prior post. So here it goes... If you spend enough time on this forum, you've seen the suggestion of upgrading the stock XJ tie rod with a beefier v8 ZJ tie rod. I have a friend, and life-long jeeper (although never an XJ owner), who argues against...

Rear Fender Trim Write-up, retaining the stock flare (Fender Trim Part 2)

Resurrecting an old thread, but I didn't see this asked.... Wouldn't most of the gain in the rear come from just cutting and folding in the back, up to the stock flare location and being done with it? It doesn't look like there's much to gain from relocating the flare.

XJ "Cubby Hole" Storage Bag on eBay

The pouch came in (very fast shipping from Steve at Omega Mill, btw). I was immediately struck by how stout the pouch is. The nylon is very sturdy and all walls of the pouch are foam-padded like a camera case would be. The webbed pouch on the front is also strong. It looks just like the...

XJ "Cubby Hole" Storage Bag on eBay

Some info on the forthcoming tire cover (from Steve of Omega Mill) "The spare tire cover will have two versions, both with the same center pouch that is MOLLE, the Pro unit will have two more pouches with one designed for a small fire ex. With the MOLLE one can attach another pouch and I will...

XJ "Cubby Hole" Storage Bag on eBay

I have my jumper cables stored in the spare tire using velcro ties to strap them to the wheel spokes. Not super elegant but it works. I don't have a picture, but I saw someone that took a plastic flower pot base and drilled a hole through it and made a cover for the spare tire kept in place by...

XJ "Cubby Hole" Storage Bag on eBay

I came across this on eBay today. It's a storage bag for the famed cubby hole on the passenger side of the cargo area. Sold by OmegaMill. It attaches with velcro. Ebay link: http://r.ebay.com/KuJe7w Has anyone bought these?

From 30s to 31s: tweak OME, or new suspension?

Hey NAXJA! I'm getting my XJ ready for Moab in the spring. After OX lockers, re-gear to 4.10s, skids and a few other fixes I'm onto tires. I want to go from 30s to 31s. My question: what to do with my lift? I currently have an OME lift I got from DPG with an added OME AAL in the rear which...

Tire size for my setup/Moab on the mind.

Thanks, Less. Good info. I'm towing a small 6x4 mil surplus trailer outfitted for camping. Nothing like what you pictured. I think I'll go with 31s. Now the question is whether I go for more bumpstopping or trimming and new flares.
