Absolutely what Johnnywalker said! Must have the unit that prevents overcharging. My friend killed a new marine battery for his boat because of overcharge from the harbor freight solar panel....

I'm searching around and I'm seeing others have had same issue they ALL say the instruments start working when the emergency brake light goes off on the dash....This sounds like a fun one....

Left from work and suddenly, no turn signals, emergency brake light is ON, no radio, turned blower fan on and it started then shut off. Hazard switch does activate signal lights.... 99 4.0

Low voltage can cause a plethora of probs in chrysler because they were cheap with the wiring sizes (thickness)

Have you tried a different battery? Also, check the ground(s). Good luck!

Searched this today and my 99 and my friends 99 both do the exact same thing coming from a stop. I think its the drum assemblies sticking....I've had the Jeep almost 10 years and it's always done it. Never gotten better or worse. New drums to be installed soon, will post the results.

I got a complete loded case from Jawsgear for 100 bucks for my 35. If you're considering a complete swap, I'd go with a ford 8.8 much stronger, and disc brakes. Not a direct swap, but it's an easy job.

CEL did come on and it reads bank 1. It only falls on it's face when cold for about 10 seconds, however when warm it idles like a turd and sometimes while coming to a stop it REALLY starts misfiring and nearly stalls. Vacuum line maybe??
