Now should I take the diff off the truck and bring it to someone, rather than drive it there? What I dont understand is that everything inside is tight , there isnt any loose bearings. thanks

There is no movement in the u joint itself except for the normal twists that its supposed to do.. But now you got me thinking, I don't recall tightening it back up before putting the cotter pin back in place. I guess I'll go check that out now. Thanks, jamie

Hello All, I replaced my right front u joint on my 87 xj and now when I'm driving 25-60 you feel a constant vibration. Is there a certain way that the shaft has to go back in, is it balanced specifically with the other side. Thanks Jamie
