After driving it to work today, I noticed that it hits pretty bad when i'm accelerating while turning left (Like on a freeway ramp). It doesn't hit when I turn right. These symptoms give anyone ideas?
So would new motor mounts be a remedy then? I have replacements already, but I didn't know you had to drain the oil and move the filter elbow to change them. I just changed my oil, so I'm gonna wait till next time to swap the mounts.
It's just weird how when I look, the exhaust isn't really...
My exhaust has been starting to vibrate on my crossmember here and there. i did some research, and replaced my trans mount. i took it out and it was fine at first. But by the time I got back home, it was hitting again. WTF? What's causing this???
I don't think it would be bushings, 'cause it clunks and clunks when I'm not moving.
The driveshaft isn't moving when it's stopped, so u joints are probably out right?
I have a repetetive clunking when I have the tranny in reverse (at a stop/brake on). My feet can feel it on the floorboard. I can't hear it from underneath (motor's too loud). It sounds/feels like something spinning and hitting something.
Got my injectors in today. Problem solved. No difference in performance or anything. It just runs and idles smoother now. Too soon to tell if my MPG will improve at all. :peace:
Thanks I just found a thread with a source for cheap Bosch injectors. I think I'll buy a set. I'm just glad that no fires broke out, since I've been smelling gas for over two weeks now.
I've been noticing a gas smell in my garage whenever I parked the jeep. I just figured, its old and a jeep. But when I popped the hood to check my fluids I saw my #4 injector leaking fuel onto my exhaust.
I pulled the fuel rail and cleaned up all the injectors and replaced the 12 O-rings...
maybe it was because i didn't put it in neutral. I usually only go in neutral when I shift to 4LO. Other than that, I just roll slowly in gear and switch between 4HI and 2WD.
