Do it and get a Toyota. For that same price you'd have a far more capable rig built with top of the line quality parts.

Nice rig GLWS. Telling you now though you won't get that much for it. Better built rigs even go for less

get a piece of 1/2" plate 6" wide and however long you need and drill the 8 holes you need and bingo you have a stronger then stock crossmember
