A/C Recharge Advice on 90 Renix?

Unless you know someone who knows someone you " have " to convert it to 134 now. You can no longer buy the R-12 without a license nor install it in anything yourself.

    Zippo lighters

When I was younger I had OLD zippo style lighters made by ??? Probably 10-15 of them from flip tops to squeeze style flip tops etc. that worked just as good. I can only guess they were from the 1940-60's era. I have no idea where they ever got to but I'm sure they would be nice to have now and...

    NP 231 output yoke bolts

I questioned it because the way the part numbers were given, I.E. not in standard sizes. 24x1x.170x.312 I got that from another site but it's the same numbers I was given a while back I believe. I don't speak bolt in those terms so anyone else wanna translate ? :D

    NP 231 output yoke bolts

Are they not a Metric thread ? I know I had trouble finding a set not long ago and everything standard at NAPA did not work in those sizes. They were " really " close and might have worked if I forced it some but I couldn't get anything standard to thread in by hand. I know the measurements I...

    Stressed Out/Home Buying/Lease

Sign the lease, you will ALWAYS find someone later to take it over once you leave if that's the issue. Go see what your bank/broker will approve you for in terms of a mortgage. "Anyone" can get pre approved, but it might be at 20% interest with 50% down. Make them tell you what you can get...

    Zippo lighters

My 5 ounce bottle has lasted me since March or April and I use mine every day. Once full the light goes on for about 2 weeks give or take. They are not meant for lighting things on fire sideways, upside down etc. Without being cupped, the flame will go wherever the wind takes it. A Bic lighter...

    Ultra 4 EMC Build

    Rear Axle breather vent

The bellows will pop if an ARB leaks air into the housing. They will also pop from normal driving as the air inside the housing get's hot and pressurizes the housing. If you have good axle seals, the bellows will go buh bye. Mine goes no further than the axle tube. Just make several coils of...

long arms , clayton vs TNT

With the Clayton Pro series ALL the joints are the huge Johnny Joints. The other kit's come with the smaller upper joints. I'm fairly certain that nobody has ever broken or bent a link either and with that Clayton comes with a life time warranty against bending or breaking their links !

    T case options

If you do a 231 swap you need to pull your input shaft from the 249 case and swap it into the 231. The 249 used a long input and most 231's are short/medium. You will have to measure it though to be sure. You will also need the linkage off the 231 (?) It's been a while but one doesn't work on...

    Guess the clicking

Have someone else help turn the wheel while you look but I am thinking Tie rod end, pitman arm, track bar holes wallowed out/bad bushing. From looking at the steering shaft turning and the movement in the drag link they are sinc'ed with no play in the box making me think that's not it. Put your...

    U joint straps 8.25 vs d35??

Drill out the 8.25 yoke to accept the 5/16"(?) u-bolt off a CJ. Much better than having the straps back there. Last time I bought straps at the parts store we had 4 different boxes with straps that were all different sizes and they all were supposed to fit a 1310 joint on the 8.25 axle.

How do I test the AC clutch?

Add freon/oil to the system and it should start coming on. 30 PSI is what it should be filled to for it to run properly but pulling a vacuum on it at a shop will find a leak if there is any.

    Need to replace AW4

It should be a 21 spline output trans so anything up to 90 with a Renix engine. If you swap the transfer case as well, any AW4 will bolt up that I know of. I looked to see if there was a difference in the tranny and converter per year and find nothing so they must all be the same. The case if...
