Update on this issue. I got a Bosch fuel pump, and fuel filter from Napa. Dropped the tank to swap out the pump, replace the filter on the unibody rail, and all seems well.

Wanted to give an update. After looking over wiring/grounds, all checked out. I took a chance on a JY TCM for $20. It was out of a 93. Has been working perfectly for a couple weeks now! Thanks for all of the replies. As always, a vast amount of knowledge on here.

I learned something new today. I thought 96 was the cut over year from the Dana 35, to the Chry 8.25. I just bought a 96 a couple of weeks ago that has the 8.25. Interesting.

Cheap XJ, I have to say, you might be onto something. The line itself is ok, but maybe was leaking around the fitting on the MAP sensor. I disconnected it from there, and put it back on last night. Drove it to work today, and it had a very slight hesitation at times, but seemed to be better...

I checked the hard line from TB to MAP. Looks good. I unhooked it to see how it ran, and it barely stayed running. Pretty confident that line is OK. I'll look for a TPS to try and see what happens.

Update on this issue. I adjusted the TPS, checked IAC valve, tested MAP sensor voltage, checked the grounds, and cleaned the C101. Still no improvement. I have noticed though, the hesitation occurs in a narrow rpm range. Example, from a stop, everything is fine until a certain rpm is...

I will get a new TPS and swap that out. I knew that was a possibility, but kind of ruled it put because other than the TC lock up issue, it idles, and runs fine. Thought a TPS issue would cause other problems.

Any adjustment on a 96 TPS like the older ones, or just ditch it, and get a new one?
