Well it was an awesome event. Took the XJ out for it's first real shake down. Very impressed with what a stock XJ on 30's can take on. If you want to see more pictures of the event, just check out Great Lakes 4x4 forum and search Dixie Gully Run. We could have an awesome park right here in...
Just wondering if anybody here is going to Dixie Gully Run next weekend. I am. Taking the family out for the Jeeps first real off road experience. Who else is going?
Promotional video in case you haven't seen it.

Just got mine in the mail. One hour install because i was moving slowly and playing around. First time in 10 months i can put the Jeep in 4 Low! Great product, super easy install! Well done!
Been a while since I've updated anything here. Jeep has been serving DD duty very nicely. Runs great and has around 3K miles on the engine now. Couple of oil changes done throughout the break in period. Replaced the front shocks and sway bar bushings recently. Finally got around to...
Slightly different but I just put the Dynomax 17340 super turbo cat back system on my 2000 Sport. Bought it mostly because of the $100 Visa gift card offer. Quality seemed good, install was easy. Tail pipe seems to stick out a bit behind the bumper but that's ok, I'm not wheeling right now...
New Mopar rear shocks. CL score for cheap so why not. Had to do the drill and tap procedure after snapping the heads off of the bolts at the top. PITA that was. Oh well, done now. And a poser shot for good measure.
So I managed to get the headlights wired up today. That is a nice little day project. Bought new bulb sockets and rewired the headlights to individual relays. Used 12ga wire the whole way and made short grounds from the sockets to the radiator cross bar. The relays are mounted below the...
I use Photobucket for other things too so I just upload them to there and then copy the URL into the post using the [IMG] tool. I believe that's the only way to do it.
AND SHE RUNS!!!!!!!!!
After a long day on Saturday I finally got the chance to fire it up. I called the family out to have them witness the initial firing. It was so uneventful that my kids were looking at me like, "Why did you call us out here to watch you start a car?!" But for me it...
Moving forward step by step. Engine is sitting in the bay for good this time. Starting to put all the pieces together. I still need to extend the wires to reach my new coil, so that harness is out on the workbench for now.
I decided on the 136A alternator so I had to do a little grinding...
Big Hank, I'm in Holly which is about 45 minutes from there. I am planning on being down in the Pinkney area next weekend the 17th. Shoot me an email and we'll get it taken care of.

Progress progress. Had the engine sitting in it's home for a short while this weekend. Had to put it in so that I could mock up and fab a temporary exhaust system. Chopped up my 2000 system and welded the '97 down pipe that attaches to this exhaust. Not the sweetest looking creation but...
VA you read my mind! Small amounts of color mismatch and overspray within the engine bay do NOT matter! Yeah, yeah, that's all I have to keep telling myself!
