I have a 2000 XJ. The blower has stopped...bad timing since its 108 every day. I checked the wires going into the blower and the blower has power and the ground is good. It seems strange to me that if the blower is broken that it wouldn't blow the fuse or hum. Also the blower stopped and...
Weird!! find the wires going to the trans If it happens again unplug the wires while it is running and shift with the console. and see if that fixes it. if it does then its yout tps.
No it is suppose to unlock when you let up on the gas or when the RPMs get low. to find the wire there are 2 plugs on the fire wall on the pasenger side of the engine it is in one of those plugs. just put 12v to each plug and listen for clicks from the trans, do this while its not running...
Once again we are talking about US laws not your country.
Yeah they still make the cable kind for Bajas. my understanding with auto lockers and snow is that you dont want both tires to spin or you will endup in the ditch. therefore traction in snow is worse. is this wrong? Also I have heard...
Has anyone ever thought about installing turning brakes in a XJ instead of a locker? I used to have 2 sandrails and they both had turning brakes. if one tire started to slip you could apply brake pressure to that tire with a hand lever. also tractor have this to in the form of a split pedal...
Yep just like your throttle that what it does. its simple look and how your butterfly works sometime it restricts the air flow when you let up on the throttle and the computer compensates for this by putting in less fuel. resulting in less HP, torque, = less work done. but also less RPMs...
the more work an engine has to do to get air the worse MPG think about a K&N less restriction and better MPG. put one straw in your mouth and seal your lips around it then go run as far as you can. then do it with out the straw. which one is more work per step? you have to work alot harder...
I had a TJ. I miss the openness of it. yeah that is about it. after my TJ I got a WJ that out preformed my TJ (both were stock). Its hard to beat having a TJ with the top down on a trail in silverton. But ya have to drive there too!! and even with a hard top can be un plesant and then...
I used to have one. I didnt have any problem finding upgrades for it. I made most of my upgrades but there was a decent amount of stuff out there. I guess compaired to other jeeps its lacking but compaired to other makes it seemed good. I miss my grand sometimes. It actually did quite well...
I don't think its the solenoids cause when the trans is in 4th both solenoid 1 and 2 are off so it seems like you would get stuck in 4th if they went bad.
