I broke the little stub off the side of the manual valve rod. Its the little thing that the NSS is attached to on one side and on the other the shift linkage. The shift linkage side threads all sheared off. I have an extra transmission but I cant figure out how to get it off.
I pulled the valve...
I'm 4x4 swapping my MJ. Its a 2wd, AW4, 4.0.
I want to keep my current transmission since my 97 donor vehicle has alot more miles on it and my current trans is perfect. Can I just swap the rear of the tranmssion case and stuff so it will bolt to the transfer case? I cant see any reason why not.

People knock the come-along but it has gotten me unstuck every time I have needed it. Just as long as there are trees around.
If you go for the electric just carry some tow straps and a shackle or two.
I dont see the big fuss about the 00-01 heads, from what I understand them cracking is still relatively rare unless you overheat the shit out of it.
And the LP D30 can be fixed for about 100 bucks and a few hours of your time.
Plus coil on plugs are better than distributors, and the newer ones...
