selling my 1988 xj. it is my daily driver and has the following. 125,000 miles, 5 speed, 6 inches of lift, trimmed fenders, 35 inch general mt's, kevin's trac bar conversion, v8 zj drag link and tie rod, rusty's fixed upper and lower control arms, rock krawler disco's, arb bumper, hella fog...

you ought to let me have the 2 inch receiver of it. i will trade you for the stock towing package on my 88 laredo. it mounts to the frame and bumper, but just has a tongue that sticks out with the ball. i will even throw in the 2" ball. hey, might even throw in a few bucks. :laugh3:

i just did this swap this past weekend. i too got mine from fiveomotorsprorts.com. they were orange and black. no problems here. like someone said, check the wiring or any other harnesses that you might have undone. i also labeled mine to remember were they went.

i am not sure who makes them, but he was going with 4.88's i believe. he had these installed before changing. they are in good condition.

have a set of 4.10 gears and carriers i bought off a guy. he had them in his yj. i have not installed them. i am debating on selling them. i am thinking of going to 4.56 instead. the gears are in great shape and if i sell them i would like to get $200 for them and the carriers. also, i...

i have an 88 with about 6 inches of lift and i have no sye. i do have a tc drop kit though. i believe with older xj's you can get away with more lift and not run a sye kit. newer xj's i believe can barely get over 3 inches without one. best thing to do is put the lift on and see.

i have a major blow-by problem on it. i was going to pull it in the shop this weekend or next and take the valve cover off and replace the gasket. isn't the pcv valve built into the cover? i was just wanting to replace with a new cover. i also have to drop the oil pan and replace the rear...
