I am going to use a set of WJ lowers on mine. I got a set off of ebay for $10. There are a couple of articles about this, here is GoJeeps. http://www.go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoWJcontrolarms.htm I plan on cutting the width of the WJ bushings to the stock XJ width for my installation though.

1980 and up FS Jeeps have driver side drop. J-10 axles would be really wide, Wagoneer axles would be closer in width to an XJ.

I am having a tough time figuring this out. I have a 97 XJ, 4.0, auto, no abs. I just bought this XJ a couple months ago and during a recent snowstorm I found out that only the front brakes are working. I thought the adjusters weren't working so I replaced the adjusting hardware and shoes on...

Man, I can't believe they are out of business. I just got my brackets from them last week! That being said, I think I will eventually swap the hooks out for factory hooks from a newer ford truck. They look like they would bolt to the brackets with little to no modification.

So why wont the 29 spline spider gears work in a 27 spline carrier? The axle splines only engage in the spider gears correct?

I have a quick 8.25 question. Can I swap axle shafts and spider gears from a 29 spline into a 27 spline axle?

Just FYI, the 84 has a disconnect front axle. I don't know if that matters but I thought I would let you know.

I am in the middle of pulling a 4.0 out of a Comanche but those top two bolts have me at a standstill! Anyone know the size of the bolt so I can go get a socket. It is the reverse torx pattern. Thanks for any help. Dave

I don't know about a 93 but I put a Pacesetter on my 90. I hated it! You have to extend the wiring for the O2 and the pipe runs to close to the oil drain plug. Makes it a pain to change oil plus the mess of the oil running on the exhaust. This was just my experience but others may disagree.

My lift is peiced together (ZJ V8 coils & 2" spacer) and all I had to do is drill another lower hole closer to the drivers side. It recentered the axle so I was happy. It is my DD and has given me zero probs since I did that 9 months ago.

6 cylinder ZJs used the AW4 in 1993 then they got the Chrysler trannys in 94. :(
